I'm stoked to be announcing that I'm officially becoming a part of @groundedsoundsystem ! 🔊 Having spent the last 12 months collaborating on a variety of projects, including the Lakeside Stage at Synergy Festival and the Easy Way Bass Lounge at Sparkadia, we have found a sense of symbiosis in skills, experiences, values and ambitions for what we want to deliver to Lutruwita's music and arts community.
For those who are unfamiliar, Grounded Sound began it's journey 15 years ago pushing dubstep and sound system culture in Eora/Sydney's free party scene before making the move to the little island where they have provided premium Danley Sound Labs deployments both to larger commercial events such as MONA FOMA, and our beloved underground parties including Multiverse, Synergy and Honeypot.
All of this is tied in with the bittersweet news that Ghetto Collective is no longer. As a name and concept that came about well before either Matthew Rose or I had any idea what we were doing, we have both come to outgrow it, and look forward to future collaborations under a different format.
With all that said it's time to kick things off with our first event! We'll be taking over Twisted Lime on September 28, joined by two underground bass music heavyweights, Frequent & COPYCATT. See the event flyer in the photos and the link in my bio for all the juicy details!

Keen as a bean to be hosting and supporting the legend that is COPYCATT tomorrow night at Twisted Lime! This guy makes some of the most broken, girth-laden basslines on the planet and it would be rude not to come and cop an earful.

Massive gratitude to the entire @enigmaticindustries team for the opportunity to be a part of what was hands down the best party I've ever been to. From punching well above their weight in production to curating a relentlessly epic 3 day program of music to promoting in just the right way to attract a beautiful tight-knit crowd to play for and party with; these guys knocked it out of the park.
