Naast NOISE pluggen wij dan ook graag werk van onze peers, waar wij hier en daar ook een vinger in de pap hebben gehad.👇 💙 MY VOICE IS NOT / WILL NEVER BE YOURS - @mara.snp Mara is een trans warrior princess. Her words, die wij alleen maar kunnen beamen. We hadden al de eer dat Mara als huisdramaturg van de Neuköllner Oper aansloot bij ons team van NOISE, nu hebben we de eer om Mara te begeleiden in een residentie met als onderzoeksvraag: “hoe klinkt het als ik mijn transstem terugvind?” 💙 Buy Me - @vixnde Viana Afoumou, a.k.a. vixnde, leerden wij kennen via een open call voor onze eerste Club Gewalt Residency. Dat was een behoorlijke love story, want Viana en haar stem en haar performance en haar teksten en haar weirde fantasie zijn amazing. Je vindt haar gedurende het festival in de buurt van de McDonalds op de Coolsingel, waar zij, verkleed als biefstuk, haar nieuwe marketingstrategie uitprobeert. 💙 One a Lot - @amandaepayne Amanda is een indrukwekkende alleskunner: zij schreef, componeerde en speelt haar “muzikaal apocalypsdrama over een eenzame overlevende die toevallig terecht komt in een ondergrondse ruimte en daar vertelt hoe zij de wereld zag instorten. Met haar stem en Ableton Push bouwt ze een universum van loops en songs.” Wij als Club Gewalt mochten het coproduceren! Daarnaast zijn we heel benieuwd naar de nieuwe voorstelling van @collectiefaqueerius 'Beyond the Ball'. Vorig jaar hebben we met het collectief samengewerkt en dat was een feestje!🫶

Yesterday for the @soundstudio.worm night, I gave a sneak peak of a song I had started the night before, after coming back drained from a hectic day through orange streets. Should I finish it? Still recovering from last week’s run for Friday Night Live at @kunsthal curated by @o.festival.rotterdam in the middle of the work of @davidshrigley , while a piece of his art was running with me, in the shape of a cute & healed little horse tattoo on my left shoulder, drawn by the artist himself a bit more than a month ago during a special @museumnacht010 , where we could only give two words to describe a design - no refund (it was free) and no back-pedalling - and what you’d get would be it, and I didn’t even want to look at it until it was immortalised on my skin. WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?? Still unsure. One thing certain is that more is coming. Are you ready for it? BECAUSE I AM NOT 😭 🏃‍♀️Performance: Mama Always Told me not to run in the Dark. 📕Book in the before-last slide: “Female Fear Factory” by @feminist_rogue . Together with a cast of diasporically-encountered collaborators, changing in each city, the poet, artist, and improviser presents an improvised reading-performance. I COULDN’T FIND LOVE UNTIL I actually found it within myself, and in my pink Nintendo 3ds. Last Saturday’s Audio Archives event was one to remember. Big thanks to @operator.radio x @carharttwip_nld x @timeisthenewspace for giving me the space to explore! And a grand shoutout to @kemskriol who brought the sound to the next level, and to @jeroendirrix for supporting us from a distance. We have been cooking sweet sweet music and I can’t wait to share it with you all. x
