Dearly Departed opened at @statelibraryqld on Friday night. It was a true pleasure to contribute to this exhibition through a small collection of photographs of memorial tattoos. People I’d never met shared bravely and vulnerably about the lives they’d chosen to commemorate, and most had never had a portrait taken before. It was a simple, enriching, and deeply human experience. Thank you SLQ for the opportunity, and to the people who left their comfort zones to celebrate a life they cherished 🤍
