Thank you very much Piercarlo Poggio for this nice review! *Blowing on the Knots* Review: Viv Corringham’s unconventional vocal style—granular and possessing a vast timbral range, occasionally aided by subtle electronics—finds in Gianni Mimmo’s soprano saxophone not a mere counterpart, but rather an effective means of contrast that underscores its infinite possibilities. Their “disunion” has crystallized into a chiaroscuro work, characterized by continuous and unexpected turns. It is an experimental narrative—devoid of mannerism—that, by dissolving the aridity of technicalities (which are nonetheless present, substantiating the duo’s interplay and the tracks’ structures), ultimately proves poetic and even seasoned with a touch of healthy self-irony (*Anthem*). The title, *Blowing on the Knots*, references the Quran in its allusion to spell-casting practices; in its own way, this album is indeed spellbinding—emerging with extreme naturalness and a fine sense of proportion, amidst moments of instantaneous invention and echoes of shadows from the past.
