Well I was 17 in that photo not in my 20s. Ok hear me out! In my generation we all wanted to look older and more mature, and we didn’t have Pinterest inspos and social media. So we did whatever we felt right and walked out of the door. No one told us about sunscreen, or double cleanse, or microblading, or lymphatic drainage. I used to straighten my hair with an iron box, because my Mum refused to buy me a straightener. We didn’t know what clothes were trending, and would definitely not know the difference between a designer brand and C&A. Remember C&A? That was high end for me! This reel was just for fun, and I hope I didn’t offend anyone. Only the millennials will get it hehe And if someone thinks am delulu, and I did not age backwards that is absolutely ok too 🤣 The point is not to look younger, but teach young women that you have something to look forward to! Ageing is such a blessing! As much as this platform can make you so self conscious and put alot of pressure on your physical appearance, it has educated and inspired me alot too.
