Hi friends! @vitcavage here! (Because I *totally* have a social media team who normally runs this account.) Earlier in March, Debutiful passed half a million readers and listeners. I started the outlet in 2019 (and added a podcast in 2020) without much hope for it. Year after year, I put more work into it. Before work. During lunch. After work. Late nights. Weekends. It was my way to give back to the writers who inspired me so much. My goal was to have one interview a month, thinking no one would care. People started to notice. Slowly at first. Then I started getting invited to host large events across the country. I partnered with outlets I wrote for when I started freelancing. My name is on the covers and in the pages of books, using my blurbs. The industry respects me; they trust my taste. I’ve been called “the champion of debut authors.” Now, monthly traffic is higher than it was in my entire first year. It’s still small compared to many, but it’s mighty. Okay — humble brag over. I gotta go read a book by the next big writer you don’t know about (yet).
