For @xxltechno@whp_mcr we wanted to break the fourth wall and continue with our exploration of human elements in the visual experience. With the guidance of @antonfstevens & @tomshent0n we went down the path of bringing the characters from the visuals to life.
The human performance aspect has always been a huge part of the XXL experience, with the scaffolding platform last year mixing human dancers and pre-recorded visuals.
This year we took it a step further and moved the characters into the audience.
We love the idea of creating artwork that creates an immediate emotional response and we love taking inspiration from the contemporary art world and applying it to a hard techno context.
Full Circle is a manifestation of the track & album that inspired our journey into the creation of visual shows and experiences.
14 years ago @amontobin dropped his ISAM show and blew our minds, inspired we submitted an application to culture night to have a go at learning projection mapping with a bunch of cardboard boxes, a 4000 lumen projector rented from our mates at @thirdsource and best intentions.
14 Years later and we’re launching our own immersive gallery and producing shows globally, this piece is a homage to the track that inspired us to get started. It’s great to see @culturenightbelfast back in action and greatful we could contribute our piece to the mix.

Biggup to the 5am crew, an intense turnaround, having the full show up and programmed on time for doors at 5pm.

We have transformed the space with Present Futures branding, featuring custom visuals, screen design, lighting installations and illuminating his drift car.

BUILDING VS IMMERSIVE
Significant progress has been made across the gallery as preparations continue ahead of launch.
The feature wall has now been fully installed, while the mirrored ceiling in the reception area has been completed, designed to reflect and distribute light throughout the space. Work is also progressing on the Infinity Mirror Room, where the final LED programming is currently underway.
Each stage brings us closer to delivering a fully realised immersive experience.
