Union Station has always been more than a place to pass through. It has been a signal. From its early days lit for safety and arrival, to today’s carefully layered lighting that supports hospitality, retail, and public gathering, Union Station reflects how Denver has evolved and how lighting has evolved with it. What changed was not just technology. It was intent. Lighting moved from simply illuminating space to shaping experience. Guiding movement. Creating comfort. Extending how long people stay and how they feel while they are there. Projects like Union Station remind us that great lighting is rarely about the fixture alone.
