To mark St Carthage’s Day on Friday 15th May, the beautiful Church of St Carthage in Rahan will be open to visitors from 5pm – 7pm.
Set within the ancient monastic site at Rahan, this remarkable church is one of Offaly’s most extraordinary historic buildings and a rare opportunity to step inside and experience centuries of heritage and atmosphere.
📍 Please park along the road (without blocking the gate) and walk across the monastic enclosure to reach the church. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
