A beautiful morning spent with Wild Food Mary (Bulfin) at Garryhinch Wood yesterday, Sunday, 19 April.
A bumper attendance and marvellous weather made for a highly successful and enjoyable walk. Although we didn’t travel far, we made plenty of stops to identify plants and explore their traditional uses. Mary shared her expert knowledge on the health benefits of a wide range of species, along with generous tips, recipes, and practical guidance for everyday use.
The walk was wonderfully rounded off by the sound of a drumming woodpecker nearby, while butterflies basked in the spring sunshine, adding to the sense of a woodland very much alive 🌿🦋
