Climate Change and Biodiversity group Offaly: Event on Nature and Nature: Heathy Foods for us and our planet: Hosted by Helene Rouget at Tullamore Library Offaly on 3rd February 2026:
The event was Anchor by Helene Rouget with participants from towns like Tullamore,mullinger ,Birr, Clara, Edendenry, followed by a welcome adress about the group by SEAN a committee member welcoming the participants at the event.
The Topic of the day was explain vividly by the Host on positive impact of Nature and Nutrition , and Eating healthy food.
The host further pinpoint and explain some basic areas that facilitate and bring about good living which includes:
1. Heath Eating plate
2. Food pyramid
3. The ideals diet for human sustainability feeding to grow
4. The adequate type of food and appropriate time to eat
Further positive discussion was briefly discuss about the impact and significant of palm oil on heath living, the benefits of pam oil constitute some finished manufacturer food items. Emphasis was made on Africa as one of the largest producers of palm oil,
The event was interactive and educative as notable ideas knowledge was achieved and impacted on participants, as well as questions were welcome by the host at the end of events . The event highlighted some benefits in our heath and food for us in our daily life.
Nutrition talk to be held in Tullamore.
Nutritionist and Offaly Climate and Biodiversity Action Group member Hélène Rouget will give a free talk: Nature and Nurture: healthy foods for us and the planet. The event will be held upstairs in Tullamore Library on February 3rd @ 6PM. Bookings can be made for free on eventbrite.
The voluntary groups chairperson Gaelan Elliffe said: In the coming months we have planned more events like last year's information sessions, climate cafés and volunteering opportunities. We plan to host these events about the county and we encourage interested people to come along and connect with others interested in nature and promoting sustainability.
