Happy weekend friends! Before January ends I’m finally posting a glimpse of Toronto’s FIRST EVER Desi inspired afternoon tea event that I hosted back in July - Chai & Hum; a one of a kind luxury pop up event ☕️
This idea was inspired by a few things; my childhood love for food, my adult love for hosting and chic, luxury experiences ✨ Growing up, my childhood was filled with all these delicious Indian flavours, I decided to take these nostalgic flavours and mix them with the delightful experience of afternoon high tea 🫖 We spent the afternoon doing just this, indulging in familiar desi fusion flavours, bites, sweet treats and delicious chai all around a stunning table setting dressed like royalty ✨
Why the name Chai & Hum you ask? I picked it because the word chai means “tea” and the word hum means “us” in Hindi and therefore translates to Tea and us. The idea that all it takes is a cup of chai, some tasty treats and a friendly face to create an “us” 💜
