A message about where I am right now in my professional life. If you know me, all I ask is for 2 and a half minutes of your time today. My entire career has really been centered around helping artists and producers and sharing my ideas to help them win. I love being an asset to others. I have to admit tho. There’s so many ideas I’ve shared over the years that just never ended up getting done for whatever the reason. I’m always trying to figure things out to improve on them. I had to get all the big ideas I had, out to the world. So, I started a collective. I wanted a vehicle get all my music ideas out. The first song I produced was around 2007 but most people didn’t know I actually produced music. People knew me as a label owner and manager but they were kinda right because my focus was the label & the artists I worked with. In 2019, I had the idea to start a collective to release music that I produced. This way, if I ever had an idea I wanted to execute I didn’t have to have those ideas live or die based on if another artist wanted to try it or not. In the 4th Quarter of 2022, I, with the help of so many other creatives got to release FOREVER on the label I founded Valholla Records. An R&B song that now has about 10 remixes and on its way to a million streams, featured on multiple platforms. Today, the rotating collective I told you about, is in the top 10%percentile of all artists in the United States, 30% in the world according to chartmetric. In under two years, with no full length projects - but we did it by releasing new music every 4-6 weeks and consistently doing content, just like you’re watching now. (Continued in the comments)

Expression Over Reaction: Vince & The Valholla Empire and Miami-Based Rapper Stide Prince Share a New Collaboration There is a particular kind of strength that doesn’t announce itself. It lives in the pause before the response, in the breath taken instead of the word hurled. Temperature, the new single from rotating collective Vince & The Valholla Empire featuring Haitian-American rapper Stide Prince, is a study in exactly that kind of strength. It is dark, deliberate, and quietly devastating: a piece of music that sounds less like a statement and more like a reckoning. The track arrives courtesy of Valholla Records, the Miami-founded independent label and creative force that has been operating on its own terms since 2005. This latest release is the product of a deliberate intention from label chairman and lead producer Vince Valholla, who has made South Florida collaboration a guiding principle of his work this year. Stide Prince, a Miami rapper shaped by the city’s raw underbelly and its relentless creative energy, was a natural choice: an artist who built his name through battle circuits and street performances before sharing stages with Pusha T, Nas, Fabolous, and The Diplomats. “I wanted to make sure I made it a point to collaborate with as many artists from South Florida as possible this year. I’ve always wanted to work with Stide Prince... He delivered something perfect for the mood of it.” -Vince Valholla, Chairman & CEO, Valholla Worldwide The production, co-crafted by Vince and frequent collaborator Chris Angel, does the rare thing that great dark hip-hop instrumentation can: it creates a space where confession feels inevitable. The beat doesn’t push. It holds. It is the kind of sonic environment that rewards a certain kind of lyricist, someone who understands that restraint, deployed correctly, hits harder than fury. We see major labels and other companies or private equity buying distributors, label services companies, catalogs and more. What a lot of people reporting on the music industry leaves out often is, how trends will affect small indie music companies. The more things get consolidated, the more independent labels and management companies have to pivot and get creative. The key is creating IP in-house to offset activities within your company that don’t translate to long term ownership. One of the ways we’re doing this with our company is by using the “label is the artist” model. I did a case study and it’s free to the public. Just search “label is the artist” or DM or comment for access. Again, it’s free. Post that inspired this video is from @brianzisook .
