After a decade, finally made it to the prehistoric caves #lascaux with my lovely cousins @annniittaaaaaaaa and Carlos. Amazing 🤩🤩🤩.
Followed by lunch at Ro-bo: named after Robot, the little dog who discovered the caves in 1940. Fantastic food and the finest of wines (not pictured but since I know you’ll ask @katelizlowe10 😉, a 2022 Clos Triguedina and a 2022 La Source).
An evening spent unravelling the Antarctic Mystery @steve.darby.5015 . Apparently it should take 90 minutes. After 3 hours still well and truly ravelled … tbc 🙄.

🇳🇦Our last week in Namibia🇳🇦
🇳🇦Travelling up to Etosha Park at the end of the dry season where the wildlife congregate for a chance of water. A truly jaw-dropping moment was checking into our lodge and glancing outside to see a group of white rhinos wandering by. No fences, no armed guards; just these huge lumbering beasts grunting and farting and tussling over food 🦏🦏🦏.
🇳🇦The 7-hour drive through Etosha Park will probably be one of the most amazing days of my life 💖💖💖. I loved the ostriches wandering past the car; the lions breaking through the fence (!) and the sight of hundreds of zebras and wildebeest filing along the horizon in search of a waterhole.

🇳🇦Scrapes, sweat and saddle sores forgotten when we encountered a couple of giraffes 😬😬😬🦒🦒🦒. A different experience from seeing them out the car window.
🇳🇦An evening spent clambering up boulders to enjoy the views, the sunset and a sundowner 🍻🍻🍻. Pure magic.

🇳🇦Catamaran cruising, greedy pelicans, humpback whales and the seal who - literally - crashed lunch. Oyster farms and oyster platters, the finest of seafood and wines.

🔥This year’s theme was Les Jeux Olympiques with a fair bit of latitude ie anything vaguely related to games or sport. Brilliant 🤩🤩🤩.
🔥Ran it with rhythmic gymnast and the best of running buddies @katelizlowe10 … the fourth time we’ve run it together and it just gets better and better 💗💗💗. Can’t wait for our next outing 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🎭😀. This year her brother and his partner joined us and hopefully we’ll have one or two other running buddies next year … @susie.sparklesx 🤔😀?
🔥And in case you’re wondering, I was the masked torch bearer from JO Paris 2024, and no it wasn’t a baguette it was La Flamme Olympique 🥖🔥🤣. And yes, the mask is hideous 😳😳😳.

😻 Eleven years ago, a skinny ginger bloody-eared kitten pitched up in our garden. He hung around shivering in the cool autumn sun and sleeping in the woodpile. After 48 hours of debate - we already had three cats - a decision from Andy as we headed home from lunch; ‘if he’s still there when we get back, we’re keeping him’. The rest, as they say, is history …
