Last year, at the cobbler on the corner of my street in London, I discovered brogueing, the typical British craft of decorating shoes with perforations. The artisans told me those tiny holes werenโt just ornamental: they originally helped farmers drain water from their shoes. These are a few glimpses from a project exploring perforations in everyday objects, those invisible details that quietly shape materials around us and unlock new uses.

To familiarize myself with riso animation, I tried to reproduce two of the artistโs vibrant and mesmerizing moving visuals.
In the first exercise, I had three inks instead of the four used in the original, so I had to find tricks to obtain an identical range of shades.
