Take a closer look at this incredible merch drop for The Red Shore, and their debut album ‘Unconsecrated’ 🗡️
As always, I got started by making a coffee and chucking on the album. From there I pulled colours from the album cover, and created a colour palette to work from.
Next up was drawing custom elements for the merch; we hand drew the sword from the album cover in all of its detail, and some custom borders to house the artwork in.
From there, I started working on blending the edges of the artwork with different textures, so that when screen printed, it looks part of the garment. So far around 50 hours were spent bringing this to life and production is up next!
The quality of both our products, and customer service is always number one to me. If you are new around here, I can’t wait to show you how we do things at Vicious Instinct.

Vicious Instinct is very proud to unveil this insane spread to celebrate ‘Unconsecrated’ and one of the best death metal bands of all time.
A band that shaped my taste in music and many others, a band that motivated me to make music. I’m not sure Vicious Instinct exists in the same way had I of not found this album at 16 years old.
Their influence knows no bounds and now we honour them and their art. I would also like to take this opportunity to pay my respects to Damo and Andy. Without them none of this would have happened and we will be paying special tribute to them with the merch. More on that later ❤️

The impact this band has and continues to have on the Australian metal scene is immeasurable. It’s an absolute honour to have them part of the Vi family and I can’t wait to show you the merch we’ve been cooking up!
How many bands were started in this country because of The Red Shore? Many of the bands I have played in, and majority of my friends bands were heavily influenced by these guys.
I’ve been listening to the discography and designing an absolute ridiculous drop to honour them and the music they created for all of us. More on that soon…
It’s been just over 3 months since we relaunched Vicious Instinct and I’m super proud of what we have done so far. This new era will be our best!
