Premiering at Banff Film Festival on Oct 31st 🌄 Thrilled to have worked as a Music Editor & Composer Assistant on @insidenatgeo “For Winter” with composer @tammyari The film follows the inspiring expedition of Ice Core Scientist and National Geographic Explorer, @alisoncriscitiello who leads an international team of scientists on a daring expedition to the summit plateau of Mt. Logan to extract a record-breaking ice core. “For Winter” is so much more than a film. At the heart of its mission is the desire that this documentary will be harnessed to educate and inspire more diversity in climate science and exploration! Everybody!! Please join me in giving a very warm congrats👏🏽 to @vic_lowe from @uscthornton and @kevinleysathmusic from @nyuniversity for completing their 2024 Summer Composing Internship working with @veirtu and assisting me on a spectrum of projects. One of the greatest gifts we have as composers and musicians is being able to pass on our knowledge to the next generation and seeing them reach new heights. And let me tell you... these two have equally inspired me on new ways to approach the craft. Here’s a little more about these talented emerging composers. @vic_lowe is currently completing her degree at @uscthornton in Music Composition and also doubles as a vocal performer. She already has some very cool film projects under her belt such as Just Friends (New Media Productions), The Loner (New Media Productions), The Collab (Stanley Turner Films) and many more! @kevinleysathmusic is currently taking on his masters in Music Theory and Composition: Screen Scoring at @nyuniversity and studying composition under Shruti Kumar (Alba Torremocha in the previous year) and Saxophone with Timothy Ruedman. He’s also got a lot of incredible film projects on the board and just released the full soundtrack for Way Back Home (Directed by Chad B. Hamilton). You can check out Kevin’s score via the link in his bio. The future is bright for these two and I’m personally so grateful that @veirtu and I were able to be a small part of their musical journey. And we will no doubt be getting them back on future projects so watch this space!!
