Elise Perry is a visionary Film & Video Director, Music Supervisor, Producer, and Creative Technologist whose work lives at the intersection of story, sound, and cultural impact. A masterful multi-hyphenate, Perry bridges broadcast, film, live performance, and music—crafting experiences that resonate emotionally, politically, and globally.
Her TV directing career spans government programs, nationally broadcast network news, Presidential Inaugurations, and large-scale live performances, with credits across NBC, BET, Comcast, PBS, and more. As a Live Performance Director, Technical Director, Camera Operator, and Broadcast Specialist, Perry has shaped productions seen locally and worldwide.
Equally formidable in music, Perry is an accomplished Music Producer, Arranger, Songwriter, Vocal Producer, and Music Supervisor, known for building sonic worlds that deepen narrative and emotional truth. Her credits include work with Sean Ardoin (“OOH WEE”), Tamara Wellons (“Runaway,” “Behind the Veil”), and Kindred The Family Soul(“Far Away,” “Rhythm of Life,” “My Time”). As a Film Score Producer and Music Supervisor, her work spans Harold Jackson’s Last Night, Sonya Grier’s Citizen Consumer and DogParks & CoffeeShops, and BET staples-Hits From The Street & Uncut, with vocal production across genres, including reinterpretations of Nirvana's “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
Her music and film directing includes Lori Williams’ “Too Late, It’s My Time,” Tracy Hamlin’s “Talk To Me,” and Kindred The Family Soul’s “Going to the Go-Go."
A respected music advocate and industry leader, Perry previously served as President of the Grammy Recording Academy’s Washington, DC Chapter.
Most recently, Perry served as Music Supervisor for The Heir, collaborating closely with producer De’Andre “Dre King” Shaifer to craft a nuanced musical language that speaks in the spaces between dialogue and image—using sound to carry emotion beyond words. She is currently in production on a documentary examining the profound and lasting impact of HBCUs on music and culture.
