Traveling overseas for work during these crazy Covid times was no easy task. To arrive home today and see these two amazing covers for Dune with such incredible talent is quite surreal after spending almost 6 months on the project last year and the last 3 weeks for additional photography.
I can’t thank makeup designer @mowatdonald enough for taking me on such an epic journey to Budapest and Jordan last year. I can’t wait to see everyone’s hard work pay off on screen and I have no doubt it will with such a talented crew, cast, director and DP. I have no doubt it will be stunning.
Two more characters from Section 31 both played by the amazing @davbentom who also played Linus on Star Trek Discovery as well as several other characters. Anyone that has ever met David knows He’s one of the sweetest guys with the best laugh and hugs in Toronto!! In my opinion often under utilized for his amazing talents but one of the best guys in the makeup chair and to have on set.
I can’t remember the first aliens “name/species” but the second with David as the “Naked Andorian” we used generic face & neck pieces I believe from season 2 or 3 of Star Trek Discovery.

Sweet “Buddy” Is gone. He’s been though a lot the past couple of years having lymphoma & starting to go blind, he was a tough boy and always ready for an adventure. I rescued him in Harlen Kentucky on a job when is was approx 6 months ago & covered head to toe in fleas and ticks. He was a trailer park boy just trying to get some scraps from Crafty. He traveled all over the US and Canada and went everywhere I went. I’ll miss him a lot and I hope he had a good life. ❤️

Being nominated is truly an honor—but being recognized for the insanely hard work we poured into this show by our peers makes it especially meaningful. That part hits on a whole different level.
So… if you like what you see here and understand what it takes to design and execute this many original makeups on a fast-turnaround “TV movie”—with no time for adjustments or extensive makeup tests then ya get it.
Lastly and most importantly we only really had a 1 man and 3 amazing woman on set woman team. We took care of most of these makeups, suits, led lighting, I think that alone is a crazy accomplishment in its self. Thank you to @glenn_hetrick_ at alchemy fx for brining us on this project and letting us brings his creations to life.

Taylor Sheridan’s latest series, family drama ‘The Madison’ starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, will premiere March 14 on Paramount+, with the streamer also releasing first-look images.
The first season of the series consists of six episodes. That is the smallest order to date for a Taylor Sheridan series. But that comes with a nice bonus — a second season, we hear.
