A pergola and garden designed as an extension of the home. Shaded by mature vines and oriented toward the pool and surrounding landscape, this outdoor space is shaped for gathering, relaxing, and long summer afternoons. From leisurely outdoor meals to quiet moments in the shade, it offers a setting where everyday routines take on the ease of summer. Our Piedmont project (named The Carriage House in this piece), featured in California Home & Design 🤎 A 1904 home that we had the opportunity to completely reimagine alongside Verner Architects. Opening it up, bringing in light, and creating a deeper connection to the outdoors, all while preserving the soul of what was already there. So grateful to have worked with such a talented team on a project like this, and even more grateful to see it recognized in such a beautiful way. Last week, Stephen visited Milan during the iconic Design Week. Walking through storied spaces, many centuries old, provided a renewed sense of awe for the ever-adapting methods of making. Here are some of the favorites! Huge thanks to Selene @selene.ve for the tour and for arranging such a memorable visit, and to the wonderful company of @meadquin @amykartheiserdesign @sullivandesignstudio James Hunter @rosendoo0 @kristemichelini

In this home, everyday living extends naturally into the back yard. A continuous kitchen, dining, and living space opens directly to the garden, creating a setting designed for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the changing light throughout the day. . . . 📸: @dyerphoto GC: 0303 Construction

Exploring new tools in the design process. Starting from a hand sketch, we used AI-assisted visualization to quickly test material palettes, massing, and landscape relationships. These tools allow us to translate early ideas into atmospheric studies that help clients and teams imagine possibilities before detailed design begins. A glimpse into how emerging technologies are supporting our creative process.

Outtakes from the job site: concrete formwork for exposed board form wall. There is something so beautiful about setting up for an exposed concrete wall where material memory and craftsmanship remain visible.

A backyard transformation in San Francisco. What was once a small deck and underutilized yard became a fully integrated indoor–outdoor living space. By extending the home and opening the rear façade, the kitchen, living room, and courtyard now flow together to create a space designed for gathering, relaxing, and everyday life. Swipe to see the transformation. . . . Photographer | @dyerphoto GC | 0303 Construction

This San Francisco home was designed to frame one of the city’s most iconic views. Large windows and carefully considered interior spaces create moments where the landscape becomes part of everyday living. From a quiet workspace to a rooftop terrace, the Golden Gate Bridge remains a constant presence throughout the home. . . . Photographer: @dyerphoto GC: 0303 Construction
