Also, she traveled overseas for music exchange and stage experiences. An active figure in the local jazz scene in recent years, she has performed at “Chill Steps at Tai Kwun”, Freespace Jazz Festival, and Transience Music Festival, sharing the stage with famous local jazz musicians. The members include four talented artists: vocalist Rachel, vocalist and double bassist Cyan, vocalist and flautist Vera, and pianist Yam, displaying different voice textures and layers. They have collaborated with various musicians, amassing a wealth of multicultural and diverse performance experience. This time, they center their performance around the theme of Frank Sinatra, presenting a fresh series of vocal adaptations of songs such as "New York, New York," "Brazil," and "Come Fly With Me." Also, they will collaborate with active Jazz drummer Jerry Kan. Vera’s carefully curated repertoire includes timeless pieces like “Moonglow,” the soulful “The Nearness of You,” the light-hearted swing of “Days of Wine and Roses,” and the Brazilian-inspired “Jardin d’hiver.” These songs will unfold like love letters composed in sound, narrating the bittersweet complexities of romance. Vera is a singer who also plays the flute. A graduate of a university music program, she has performed at major local events such as Tai Kwun’s “Music in the Open,” the West Kowloon Free Jazz Festival, and the Moment Music Festival, collaborating with numerous active local jazz musicians. Her vocal style is diverse, spanning traditional swing, Brazilian jazz, blues, and contemporary jazz. Active between Hong Kong and the Netherlands, he plays in Hot Club de Hong Kong and also leads the fusion band FUZEY and his own jazz trio.
