In 2025, I only wished for one thing: to come out of the year alive. While I was recovering from the trauma, God showed me that I am worth and able to achieve more than just surviving. This was taken on my last day of @cipa_heritagedocumentation when @josellerma and I took a walk around the castle to visit the 🦌.

Really grateful to @klartbookfair for the invitation to screen The Dye(ing) Resistant Process in KL. Thank you to everyone who came, stayed, and hold space for the work. Your presence and encouragement made it feel full. This film has been a five year journey, documenting not only Dato Tay's living legacy and the evolution of his batik practice, but also the unexpected relationship that formed along the way. In tracing his process, I found myself tracing my own growth. Learning, unlearning, and expanding beside him. @klartbookfair continues to be a rare space that honours stories, craft and community. See you next year! #klabf # klabf2025 #thedyeingresistantprocess #karafuruvisuals

November felt like forever and the month where we met up with both old and new friends. A journey battling with self-rediscovery, healing, recovery, and unlearn-and-relearn. Battery was low, but spirits fueled and all-time high. To each and everyone that we met and/or spoke, thank you for being on this important journey together. Glad that we came out alive and stronger.

Happy 18++ Birthday to this silliest person 💗 It has been an eventful 2024, especially the last few months. But in every challenge we faced, I find comfort in the presence of you, knowing that I do not have to face it alone. In this special day, I prayed that you continue to find joy in every littlest thing you do and celebrate every milestone you have achieved, no matter how big or small. And in every difficulty you are presented with, know that you can always come home to Missus Bok and I. May you continue to shine bright like 🌻 and bring glory to Him. Please continue to attempt crazy adventures like conquer more mountains and higher mountains, go climbing, fitness classes, visit places and eat more food without growing sideways and most, most importantly make my dream come true aka TAITAI LIFE! I ❤️ 🦄

🎬✨ Last Thursday was a night to remember! We were honored to finally screen our works with the legendary Dato Tay Mo Leong. The evening was filled with inspiration, creativity, and an incredible sense of community. Thank you to everyone for the continuous encouragement throughout this journey. This is just a beginning, and we can’t wait to share more with you all! 🌟 Special thanks to Cheah Ni from Georgetown Festival, Penang Institute for the venue, and Penang Watercolor Society for helping us make this screening happen. We also deeply appreciate Mr. Lee Khai for connecting us to Mo Leong which started this journey, and @yapsau for moderating the session. 📸 by @ccthum14 #DatoTayMoLeong #thedyeingresistantprocess #karafuruvisuals #georgetownfestival2024 #batikart #documentary #artistjourney #penang

This roller coaster hike has all three criteria of high humidity, wet and muddy that you dislike but you still embraced those and completed this with me. Thankfully, the dark clouds did not turn into rain and we managed it in 9 hours. Slow but whatever! Both of our firsts in hiking for such long hours but definitely won't be our last 😉❤️🌟 So, where to next?

Bukit Kutu hike diary, 25 February Elevation: 1,053m Distance: 11.1km Start time: 0745 End time: 1510 Hike time: 5.5 hours Not our usual, casual weekend hike. I have always wanted to attempt longer hike but at the same time, I dread the elevation. When our friend asked if we are up for Bukit Kutu, of course and here we are, done and dusted. Not without bruises and sore, but it is worth it. The view, the, the people, the smell of nature, the breeze and most importantly, that focus, clarity of mind you have when hiking gives no room for any other task. You just need to do one thing: be present and enjoy the process. I wouldn't say this is easy but this is not difficult either (methinks). There are parts of the trail that are on constant climbing so hiking stick is my new found best friend to give me that support, anchor so that you work a little lesser. There are instances that I wanted to stop but reminded self that sky is the limit and I can do this, so little by little, on my terms and pace, I completed this. The best part of this journey is I have Josh with me - my porters. Thanks for sacrificing your rest time with me. Let's explore another mountain, soon? 谢谢@kar_siong95 帮我们拍了那么多美丽的照片!

7 years of celebrating his birthday together. We watched each other got beaten down by challenges we faced in life and we got up stronger each time. No matter which phase of life we are going through, we have each other and friends that are with there for us. I wished and prayed that may you be stronger than the anxieties and panics. Don't ever let your enemies consume you even if it is just a second. I am not a person of words but know that, I am still here today and tomorrow and the days after.

How do you even begin to quantify the monetary loss? What more about emotional distress, post trauma and the list go on? The house is made up by bricks and those bricks were literally the sweat, blood and effort of people built over the years. Yet, the houses, furniture and belongings are being washed away just like that. It has been 10 days since the flood but the situation in Karak is still very raw. No water and electricity in the area at the moment. Contribute in the way you are comfortable, be it volunteer or donations. Remember the date, fellow Malaysian. Thank you having me!
