Moved back again to this city an year back for this amazing project called “Homebound” and little did I know this film would travel the world- Cannes, TIFF, the Oscars.
Honestly? I was just thrilled to be working on a feature film under the guidance of
@baidnitin and
@vaishnavibhate , and was looking forward that I will edit. That feeling of sitting in front of a computer and cutting the scenes - understanding them - feeling them, you know? It was literally that simple in my mind.
This past year has been a massive learning curve. From approaching scenes with intent, questioning how they serve the story, exploring stronger editing choices etc. I’ve learnt so much, and there’s so much more.
I’d call
@vaishnavibhate after every edit, and she would always take the time to give detailed feedback, guiding me with so much kindness and helping me wherever I felt stuck. Literally, she became like an older sister in the city. I’m so thankful to you for your patience, kindness, and generosity. ❤️🌸
And
@baidnitin — thank you for being such an incredible mentor, guide, guru, advisor. Just being around your creative energy, listening to your strategies, feedback, and the way you think through scenes has been incredibly inspiring. Thank you for always encouraging me to think creatively, for your patience, and for creating a space where creative discussions felt fun and full of possibilities. Forever thankful to you! 🤲❤️
Grateful to have been part of Homebound and even more grateful to have been part of this team.
Homebound hits theatres on 26th September 2025. Can’t wait for you all to watch it. 🎬❤️
See you at the movies! ✨
