Is 2024 an exciting time to be a film editor? To break it down, on the latest episode of #TheStreamingShow podcast, I spoke to two of the busiest ones in town @baidnitin and @antaralahiri about whether editors get their due, the most insane platform feedback they've got from platforms, the issues with how editors are paid and how much of their time goes into salvaging shoddy storytelling. You can catch the whole conversation on my YouTube channel and on all major podcast platforms :) Brought to you by @mubiindia

Matka King trailer is finally here!
Two months, an insane timeline, and honestly some of the most fun I’ve ever had in an editing room. Got to work with @abhaykoranne , the best collaborator one could ask for and the most amazing bunch of people at @roykapurfilms Sid, @jin_ontherocks@bkandhari@tinu4444
But this post is specially for my team, @harshubhavsar led from the front and kept us all together, followed by @namanclicks@vaishnavibhate@sumitkanjilal and @deepanshuchawlaa , who were there through every impossible deadline, and somehow made the whole thing feel like a walk in the park 😂
You guys are the real reason this got done ♥️
Matka King drops April 17th. Can’t wait for you all to see it. 🙌
Watched Chashma and felt seen in ways I didn’t expect. This one stays.

HEADLINING FILM — ‘Chashma’ by Nitin Baid (@baidnitin )
Our festival’s centrepiece is the directorial debut of one of India’s most acclaimed editors - a tender, sharply observed story about childhood, identity, and the things we learn to see only when life forces us to look closer.
Join us for a special screening + Q&A with Nitin Baid as he dives into the making of the film and his journey from Masaan to Cannes 2025.
📍 Niv Art Centre, Neb Sarai
📅 13–14 December
🎟️ Passes in bio
Join us for a livestream tomorrow (Saturday) at 12 PM with @baidnitin , the excellent editor behind films like Masaan, Gully Boy to now Homebound & Bads of Bollywood. September has been a busy month for Nitin, with 2 big releases releasing to massive acclaim. We’ll speak about his editing journey, his process & everything that went behind making these 2 very different but superb films/shows.
This live is a part of our Film Club sessions, where the film club members will also get to join the meet & ask questions to Baid. If you want to join our Film Club, DM us. But anyone can watch the session live on our YouTube channel.
Neeraj and I began our film journey with a short film called Shor during the edit of Gangs of Wasseypur. A few years later came Masaan, a film that gave us friends for a lifetime, bonds that still hold strong to this day.
Over the years we worked on many things, applying what we learnt, carrying not the heaviness but the joy of creating together and now, here we are with our second feature, Homebound(only few years later😂) a truly special film made with an equally special bunch of collaborators who poured their best into it, and in the process gave us yet another family of lifelong friends.
Grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey, but above all to my OG biryani chor @neeraj.ghaywan — for the films, the friendship, and the years that keep reminding me why we do this ♥️
Nothing would have been possible without my incredible edit team @vaishnavibhate@vegavanvari@ibadshaikh #prajual @manthan_prajapati — who always make it look easy :) And this time, a special thanks to #deependra and #Sid for making the trailer making process all the more worth it.
