I’m currently in day 4 of the battle for health to over come the common cold, which feels like a direct parallel to the principals of No Facebook February!

Day 6 of No Facebook February. 22 days to go.
It turns out the real world is way more stressful than I remembered. Conversations don’t have “like” buttons. Thoughts don’t come with automatic applause or even the “clap” button. And don’t get me started on the silence — it’s terrifyingly loud. My thoughts screaming at me like my dog Ash wanting to go out.
As a performer, I didn’t realize how much I relied on an audience. I miss the energy, the feedback, the constant reassurance that I exist in a meaningful way. Without it… it’s just me, trying to figure out who I am while my brain occasionally wonders if anyone is actually listening.
And somehow, in this painfully analog world, I’ve started seeing glimpses of something bigger — maybe a singularity? Or maybe just the ceiling. Hard to tell.
Still here. Still adjusting. Still committed to 28 days of “being a person instead of a content machine.”

NFBF-Day 4:
I’m only now realizing that taking a break from social media has actual withdrawal symptoms. Like… I keep checking my phone even though I already know nothing is there. I’ll do something mildly interesting and my brain immediately goes, “Wow, this would’ve done well,” which feels unhealthy to admit out loud.
I keep mentally writing captions for moments that are just… happening. Sunsets look nice but also somehow unfinished, like they need a filter. Time feels weird because no one is collectively telling me what day it is, and I’m starting to suspect I’ve missed something huge even though I logically know I haven’t.
The strangest part is how quiet everything is. My thoughts are louder. I’m making eye contact with people like a feral Victorian child. I’ve gone outside on purpose. I think this is what existing without an audience feels like.
Anyway, if I seem a little off, I’m fine. Just slowly realizing how deep in it I was.
