I remember the moment when RasTafari called I... I was off the island for work.. and when I went to rest one night I got a clear vision of H.I.M in water reflecting light and smiling on I.... calling I... answering a question I asked just before shutting eyes
This led to mama Ganja calling I... saying it is time to connect with her medicine.... to studying Emperor Haile Selassie I... then to leaving a very successful job in the Entertainment Industry, determined to thereafter work with friends who were Rastafari Artistes and taking time to really know I Self
In a climatic moment of life I became disillusioned by the Music Industry and how it often destroys or dilutes 'Cultures,' 'True Selves, 'Relationships,' 'Communities,' 'Missions,' 'Natural Habits & Ecosystems' ... and thereafter made some more life shifts. After some time I became clearer on Self and Purpose... the blessing of holding and carrying Power well... the power of Music... the Mighty Light that is Rastafari... amongst many other beautyfull revelations
The revelation of RasTafari to I showed how much the culture aka LIVITY... and spaces, as well as Artistes that present it (authentically)... literally improve and SAVE LIVES. I've livicated my life to playing my little part in showcasing and building the authentic Rastafari culture (that Babylon tries to hide from people... from the youths). It's this continuum journey that has led to the bearthing of I-FREQUENCY ... and I Give Thanks to all (Seen and Unseen, Past Present Future) that/who support I on this mission
Give JAH all the Glory and Praises.... Season 2 loading... Nyabinghi eena di city!
Give thanks Amilcar for your devotion to telling I&I story. Big up BAY everytime... Link to story in my Bio

Hi, my name is Melissa Bloomfield, founder of Buds & Brushes JA — an art, music, and wellness initiative that has spent the past 6 years giving back to communities and charities across Jamaica. Through our gatherings, we’ve raised support for homes, schools, and wellness spaces, always with one mission in mind: to use creativity and community to uplift others.
Today, that mission feels more personal than ever.
Our beautiful island of Jamaica has just been hit by one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in our history. The destruction is heartbreaking — homes washed away, families displaced, communities cut off, and lives forever changed.
Buds & Brushes has always been about giving back, but this time, we’re pausing our celebrations to focus entirely on rebuilding hope. This GoFundMe is a direct call for help — not for an event, but for our people.
Funds raised will go toward providing relief to families in need — food, water, shelter, and essential supplies — as well as helping communities begin the long road to recovery.
Every dollar, every share, every gesture of love matters. 🇯🇲
If you can’t give financially, we’re also collecting essential items like: • Flashlights, batteries, tarps • Bottled water • Non-perishable food • Toiletries & hygiene products • Baby items (diapers, wipes, formula) • Clothing, shoes, bedding, and towels
Jamaica has always been known for its strength, resilience, and heart. I know that together, we can rise again.
Thank you for standing with us, for caring, and for believing in the power of community.
With love,
Melissa Bloomfield 💚💛🖤

With tears of joy, I share this moment! 🥹✨
From dancing in endless videos for legends like Chris Brown, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul (and too many more to name)… my daughter has always been one of the hardest-working people I know.
What makes me proudest? She’s never stopped sharpening her craft. From a teenager, she worked relentlessly on her choreography—so when she started choreographing for other artists, I knew she was stepping into her true calling: choreography and creative direction.
At just 8 years old, she told me, “Mommy, I want to dance.” And dance, she did. 💃🏽
Despite the struggles of being a single mother of four, I enrolled her in every dance school I could—from Shirley Martin Dance School to Debbie Allen to Edna Manley. She made her way back to her roots in Jamaica, learning not only movement but the strength that lives in our story.
She often sacrificed her own needs, stepping up like a second parent while I worked to keep us afloat. Yet here she is today—**currently serving as the Captain Dancer in the new Bob Marley production in Las Vegas—**blossoming, shining, and standing in her purpose.
I pray one day she writes a book about her journey—because I know it will inspire so many young people to keep going, even when the odds are against them.
We don’t wear our pain. We wear GRACE. We are the evidence of divine favor.
So like my brother @bujuofficial says:
“It’s not an easy road… LAWD LAWD!” 🙌🏾
@spiceofficial thank you for shining your light on my greatest gifts—my children.
And to my queen:
