Back from a full week running Razzett Sound at
@bloom.festival.malta and
@festa420.mt in Ta’ Qali National Park.
Big thank you to everyone who made it happen. The crew (
@mumczynski @sarahnakmuay @jondipower and
@wtgf_original ) who helped move the system, build it, wire it, and keep it running. The DJs (
@mistykal_b @neil_fenech_ @jon_roy.d @dissspin_dnb @borjaevasivebond @oghiphopmalta @jp_volume_a @seanrickett @hossilbaxx plus the one and only Badman MC
@itsfootsieagain everyone else who played on it. The promoters who trusted us with their stages. The sponsors who backed it. This doesn’t happen solo.
Special thanks to
@vasaudiogermany for trusting us with the brand new FAYA system, alongside the LAVA subs. This was probably the biggest real world stress test these systems have had so far. We pushed them hard across four days and they held up without issue. Credit where it’s due, the VAS team nailed it. Small footprint, serious output.
Watching experienced crews come over, hear it, and completely reset their expectations was a highlight.
Huge respect to
@sady_veteran and
@marco_mistical for the hours behind the scenes getting everything dialled in. Still a lot to learn, but running it in a real festival environment shows you very quickly what needs work.
First proper outing using the Soundcraft Ui16 as well. Total game changer for this kind of setup. Being able to control everything wirelessly while other DJs are playing, especially when a preamp isn’t in the chain, just makes life easier. Was literally adjusting things from the tent. If you’re running a small system and want remote control plus flexible routing for things like mics, it’s solid. Just don’t trust the built-in WiFi, add a proper external router.
Everything survived intact.
Except my 42 year old body that hasn’t slept in a tent since Rhythm and Vines 2011.
Plenty to improve. Cleaning cabling between UK and EU power, tweaking a few presets, changing up some road case layouts. But overall, massive week. Great energy, great people.
On to the next one.
