The energy and creativity were flowing all around us as we gathered together for a day of exploration and team building.
We had a blast collaborating and bringing our unique talents to the table.

DANCE AS RESISTANCE: Afrikan dance serves many purposes; healing, celebration, spiritual upliftment and ritual. In today’s world, dance seems to be reduced to showing off trending moves and Tik-Tok challenges. Do we remember the meaning of PANTSULA?
Resistance and commentary against Apartheid’s extreme violence took many forms; one of them was Pantsula. Shaped by traditional culture, this was a dance-culture which took on strong elements of revolting against oppression, responding to forced removals and creating socio-political awareness
What should we all know about Pantsula and its cultural-political roots? How relevant is Pantsula dance as a form of social commentary and political activism? What should be our Pantsula-expression today, as we battle with contemporary injustices?
@ebukhosini_solutions is proud to introduce a distinguished dancer, teacher, choreographer, artistic director and….. a proud Pantsula: M’Afrika Vusi Mdoyi. He is a founding director of VAP Studios/Academy and co-founding director of Impilo Mapantsula Global Movement. He has travelled the country and the world, introducing isiPantsula in artistic spaces as an expression for justice and change.
