I’m excited to share that Queendom Rising will have a second showing as part of Diaspora Festival, hosted at The Tobacco Factory, Bristol. The exhibition will be on view in the Tobacco factory café/bar space from 7th April – 10th May, offering another chance to see my portrait series celebrating diaspora women in Bristol, UK. To see it continue its journey in a space rooted in conversation, community, and gathering feels especially meaningful, even though I can't be there in person! I am very grateful for the support of the awesome team at @diverseartistsnetwork and the Diaspora festival production team, as well as all the women in the series. I’d love for you to stop in to view the exhibition if you're nearby! 📍 Tobacco Factory, café/bar area 🗓 7 April – 10 May @vanxdna @cleolakecreativity @rosfmartin @pochicast @japanes__salon_bristol @laupulaka @niabimkubwa @thejourneybristol @tensang08 @coegallery @jasminecoeartist @deasybamford @tobacco_factory #QueendomRising #DiasporaFestival #BristolArt #PortraitPhotography #DiasporaStories #WomenInArt #CommunityArt #BristolExhibition #PhotographyExhibition #DiasporaWomen

Grateful to have been available to photograph this showcase event for @diverseartistsnetwork back in March — the culmination of weeks of creative workshops inviting the St Pauls community to Come Together to Create & Celebrate. From the launch on 11 Jan to this final showcase/celebration on 1 March at the Malcolm X Centre, over 400 adults and children took part. Introduced by Yoma Smith, there were performances by Moroccan Gnawa musician Mohamed Errebbaa and Chloë Rose Laing, Priscilla and Stuart, Michelle and Ben, Dayton Powell, African drummer and percussionist Blaggy, spoken word artist Muneera Pilgrim, DJ Bashart Malik, dancers from Columbian dance group Ayahuasca… and others! It was inspiring to witness the energy, creativity, and care that the community put into this event. A celebration of culture, connection and expression. 💛 @vanxdna @deasybamford @chillibronze @mxccbristol #StPaulsBristol #CommunityArt #ComeTogetherCreateCelebrate #DiverseArtistsNetwork #MalcolmXCentre #BristolEvents #CommunityPhotography #bristol #bristolarts #bristolmusic #diaspora #community #creativity
