Thank you from SewShall!
In Autumn 2022 a group of ladies came together every Wednesday to share skills and experiences, making a collaborative gift for Malcolm × Community Centre who hosted a SEWSHALL course, funded by Community Learning.
The gift was made from patchwork pieces, with each lady contributing pieces that represent what community means to them, before all patches were sewn together to make two colourful banners. A mix of ages, cultures and languages united in love of creativity and friendship.
The group would like to thank MadeMyWardrobe for kindly donating materials, MXCC for a warm welcome and each other for raising confidence, happiness, encouragement and supporting one another to have fun whilst learning new skills.
Thank you to Michelle for looking after us and Simba for displaying our banners to share with everyone.
