Hello Friends, 👋 I’m thrilled to welcome so many new faces and share some exciting updates with you! 🤎 I’m Jiselle, a mom to two incredible kids—one with severe food allergies who’s on the autism spectrum and my other kiddo who is also on autism spectrum!♾️ Their special dietary needs inspired me to create Vanfriendly, where I blend thoughtful, nutritious ingredients into my products. My mission is to treat you like family, using fresh, organic ingredients and steering clear of preservatives and food dyes, all while being free from the top 9 major food allergens. A bit about me: I’ve spent over a decade perfecting my culinary skills in restaurants, sourdough bakeries, and even crafting chocolate from bean to bar—how cool is that? The fast-paced, creative world of cooking and baking is where I truly thrive. I started Vanfriendly in Phoenix, AZ, then moved to New Orleans where the bakery has blossomed over the past three years. Now, I’m excited to bring Vanfriendly back to Arizona. It’s a whirlwind of change, and I’m deeply grateful for your support throughout this journey. ⭐️ INGREDIENTS ⭐️ It’s a key word. Transparency is safety. Every ingredient that goes into every single one of my products is listed on my website. Not just the ingredient itself but who it’s sourced from. Many businesses won’t do this because they’re worried about other businesses taking their recipes. But I don’t care about that, it doesn’t worry me. Whats important to me is knowing our customers understand what’s in my products. What you put into your body is what fuels you. I don’t just do this for the food allergy folks or the ones with celiacs disease. I do this for everyone. Everyone deserve to know what they are eating. I want the community to eat how I would feed my own children. With lots of thought put into it. I chose a flour brand that stands for not just being free from the top major allergens but also that does NOT spray their crops with round up or glyphosate. I chose a chocolate company that stands for being free of the top major allergens. I removed store bought plant based milk. I changed it to our own house made plant based milk because I wanted less additive ingredients in my products. I chose a sugar company that is free from the top major allergens. We make our own powdered sugar in house to be able to remove corn from our ingredients. I choose to spend the extra $ to use avocado oil 🥑 in my products instead of the cheap toxic seed oils you keep reading about. I refused to use ANY toxic food dyes, food coloring spray, sprinkles or edible glitter in any of our products. I go for a natural approach when coloring our products. Using real fruit and veggies only to provide us with our beautiful vibrant colors. Doing many of these steps is very very time consuming. But I don’t care. Because it’s worth knowing I go the extra 100 miles for my customers. To provide them with tasty, hand crafted products. Always ask for an ingredient list, you’ll be surprised with what you find out.
