Don't miss our talented actors breath life into the works of inspiring poetry and stunning visual arts! 🖌️📝ABOUT UNCHARTED TERRITORIES: A Steamroller Artist Book collaborative project uniting 19 poets with 21 artists and 4 arts organizations based in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. This two-year long project will culminate in a limited edition of 75 hand-printed, hand-bound artist books. A special ‘PAGE-to-STAGE’ event produced by River Union Stage will take place on May 30th in Milford NJ. Hunterdon Art Museum, Clinton NJ, will hold a formal launch of the project with an opening on July 11, 2026, and an exhibition of the broadsides through September 6th, 2026. Poetry readings and related workshops will be held over the summer with dates to be announced. Elvis Alves reads his poem ‘Island’ (St. James Barbados, 2024) the print is by artist Berendina Buist. She carved the block and editioned the print while she lived in Aruba shipping it over the ocean to New Jersey. We opened these prints @frontlineartsstudio in Branchburg. Each time I build one of these videos, the process brings me to a deeper into the poems connection to the soul of this project. Val Sivilli is an artist often using printmaking as a vehicle for expanding the image potential of a painting or a narrative series. Once the director of the original Steamroller Gallery, an artist collective in Frenchtown, New Jersey she is a current member of the Steamroller Group, an artist collective working with the Hunterdon Art Museum and other venues to spearhead events that serve to forge connections between artists working in a rural environment.

The impact of Barry’s body lives in his work boots. Through the leather, the uneven wearing down of the soles, the scuff marks, the splashed paint, caulk and twisted ankles. Celebrating this man’s hard working body through the leather of these boots will be my next group of paintings, drawings and books. It picks up from my series of tools from 2022 “Working Class” : “The physical body’s survival on this planet has depended upon the command of hand tools to build shelter, hunt prey, farm land, bury the dead, cook food, etc. As we devolve into virtual reality and watch as the distribution of wealth is diverted away from the working class, tools remind us of the reality that human survival depends on a keen grasp of the actual world and a love of real, hard physical work.“ @livingwithbarry #workingman #workboots #thorogood #thorogood_usa #custombuilder
