Weekly round up. Saw some great music this week. Wednesday, I caught @middleblue , who was in town from Norway, at Troost. Great funk. Friday, I caught Spectre Folk, Gray/Smith/Spear, & Vague Plot at the pit. Great sets from everyone on the bill. Plus, my buddy Bill MacKay and the incredible Cooper Crain (BCMC) have announced their sophomore release, Stash, which has been on my highly anticipated list of releases for 2026. Make sure to go buy that album.

This Sunday, June 1, looking forward to playing @valentinopierdistrict in Red Hook, Brooklyn with two of our favorite bands, @emergencygroup_band and @vague.plot courtesy of @nycfreaks Freaks Day Out! The fun for the whole family starts at 2pm and is free! Bring a picnic! Sloppy Heads play last around 4:30. Find us near the corner of Ferris and Coffey streets. The next Freaks Day Out is Sunday, June 1 and it's a doozie! A little mini-Freaks fest to celebrate the season with three fantastic bands. Vague Plot, Emergency Group, and The Sloppy Heads will be rocking the old FDO Amphitheater in Red Hook. Gonna be a great day, so mark your calendars and plan to join us. As always, all are welcome.
