WORKSHOP ALERT! BUNKUM ENSEMBLE: Mime, Music and Interdisciplinary Improvisation (LINK IN BIO) Lots of people have been asking. And so we've listened. A rare opportunity to come and train with us... Farnham Maltings Dance Studio 2 23rd & 24th July 2026. 10am - 5pm Pay What You Decide (£60/ £80/£100) + limited bursary places (message me directly) over two days we will: - Improvise with musicians and explore Bunkum Ensemble's approach to interdisciplinsry theatre making - Develop solo improvisational skills rooted corporeal mime - Develop tools for ensemble improvisation, non-verbal storytelling rooted in listening, play and collaboration - Explore how fungi, symbiosis and mycology inform the company's ongoing R&D for Honey Fungus These workshops are suitable for professional artists, emerging artists, recent graduates, theatre makers, dancers and movers. Another 30th Birthday message, this time from the magnificent puppeteer performer Teele Uustani @uustani Scroll through for her message We first met Teele when she shone in an audition for #BeastyBaby in 2016, and she went on to do three tours of that lovely show. We then whisked her off to Vienna to create #ZoesPeculiarJourney at @burgtheater and then touring in the UK. We are at the beautiful theatre @lamadeleine.3 in the old city of Troyes. We love this theatre but the stage is raked. Pityu and Teele are hopelessly observing Bea and Luis trying to solve a lot of troubleshooting. In honor of this incredibly serious and potentially uber dangerous situation (i.e. an unplanned death of a puppeteer or Audience member) we are giving our best worried faces in front of the show poster. Come and see if we managed to solve running away props and set pieces! -------- Nous sommes au magnifique Théâtre de la Madeleine (@lamadeleine.3 ) dans le centre historique de Troyes. On adore ce théâtre, mais la scène est en pente ! Pityu et Teele observent avec désespoir Bea et Luis qui tentent de résoudre une montagne de problèmes techniques. Trouts reassembled! Our typical reunion ritual is to take a selfie in an airport car park and try to find the hardest way to achieve it. More sacrifices for the puppet gods! Day 18 Ed Fringe. LAST WEEK We've had 4 sold out performances over the last 3 weeks and nearly 2000 people have watched the show. Thanks to everyone who has come! Some of our audience have left reviews and we wanted to share some of the feedback ahead of our last week - ALL OF THEM We had a particularly sharp one yesterday... scroll to the last image ;) Thankyou to Emma for your brave service to the panel and please accept our apologies for any embarrassment caused. We didn't mean to be so embarrassing. The show divides opinion. We've had people sitting in the front row arms folded in silent protest at the curtain call. Sleepers.
