Professor Farnum’s photography courses (Photography 1 and Photography Studio) visited the @philbrookmuseum today. Students spent time hearing about Gordon Parks and his important editorial work with Life magazine in the exhibition Homeward to the Prairie I Come. For those students who have already taken Photo 1, you would recognize equipment in the model darkroom from @utulsaart ’s own lab. Students in Photography Studio were also able to see the impressive exhibition Killing the Negative: A Conversation in Art and Verse, which featured Joel Daniel Phillips and lead poet Professor Quraysh Ali Lansana from TU, among other contributors. Thank you to the Philbrook staff for two nice visits today! @utulsa_artsandsciences @utulsaphotoclub
