It was so exciting to see my Flomp print on the wall at The RA, and to meet the other Polly, the total stranger printmaker who so kindly took my work when it was shortlisted.

And we had tea at Fortnum and Mason. And I finished my book on the way home.

It's been a strange old year. A lot of highs, but also some challenging lows. And I guess that really is reflected in my work. My head is made of cotton wool

Oh yes it is, yes it is. I'm afraid there are days or weeks where it feels like someone's stuffed cotton wool inside my brain and everything is slightly muffled and won't function properly. And not just a bit of cotton wool, but a whole roll, possibly in pastel pink and yellow like the cotton wool balls in the 70s.

Shrinky dink baking again. My printed jewellery went down well at Printfest, though I can never predict which images are going to sell the best. Last year it was goldfish, this year Bun-Head and plants. So another session of print and bake and these will be coming to the Hepworth Print Fair with me in June.

Spring green. When the entire landscape turns the colour your old art teacher would tell you doesn't exist and never to use green straight from the tube but to mix it yourself. I do love green. It would be nice if spring warmed up a bit. Frost last night and it's May!
