Huge shout out to @therisingtide_official for having us on board the other weekend, and to everyone who came out, picked up merch, and threw down—it was a sick night and we’re grateful to be a part of it. We’re now heading into the studio to start tracking our album, “Somewhere Amongst the Silence and Death.” This one means a lot to us. UTTERANCE 2025 drums Hannes Danielsson Hannes Danielsson Our drummer is a powerhouse musician whose extraordinary skill on the drums has earned him a standout role in this band Utterance. Known for his speed and precision, he drives the rhythm section with relentless energy, blending technical proficiency with a raw, crushing force. His drumming is both swift and surgical, leaving no room for error and pushing the limits of what's possible behind the kit. Beyond his drumming, Hannes also brings a heavy, menacing presence as a member of Desoration, where his mastery extends to the electric guitar, delivering bone-crushing riffs and technical splendour that tear through every song with absolute intensity. A true force in the New Zealand metal scene, Hannes’s contributions to both bands are an unyielding testament to his ferocity.

UTTERANCE 2025 bass guitar Dallas Barlow Dallas Barlow is a hard-hitting presence in the Christchurch extreme music scene. Initially known as the rhythm guitarist for one of Christchurch's notoriously rowdy hardcore party-core band *Stepped out* that brought raw energy and chaos to the stage, Barlow has since made the shift to the crushingly low end bass duties with Utterance. His transition is seamless and effective. After having a quiet period away from musicianship and becoming an awesome father, he is adding a heavy, brutal, and ruthless driving force to the band’s sound. Though relatively quiet and low-key to the NZ metal community, Barlow's experience, dedication, and gritty style show he's more than capable of holding his own. He may be a silent type, but his intense passion and no-holds-barred approach to music already make him one to be watched in the scene.

UTTERANCE 2025 rhythm guitar. Cory Cattermole Cory Cattermole is a persistant force in the extreme metal scene for New Zealand. Having been part of the foundation for some of the most unique and unorthodox sounds in the underground. In his early years, he solidified his rank as the bassist for the bands *Deceive the Sky*, and *Sekht*, and many others, carving his name in the annals of NZ metal. Today, Cattermole dominates the stage as the bass-wielding powerhouse for Brawler NZHC and Unyielding Desolation, where his precision and intensity continue to crush eardrums. As a founding member of Utterance, he originally set the band's force with his brutal basslines, but has since shifted gears, taking on the role of rhythm guitarist, continuing to hold the charge with Utterance's immense fury and dissonant power. Cattermole’s evolution into the guitar realm is a testament to his adaptability and raw, unfiltered power.

UTTERANCE 2025 Lead guitar. Allan Lisle. Allan Lisle is a formidable force in the realm of heavy music, a relentless guitar virtuoso with a reputation that precedes him. Known for his time with *Mercy* and *Averia*, he’s since raised the stakes as a very first member of Utterance and recently the new guitarist for Vixen Execution. His guitar work is not merely technical; it’s an absolute battering ram of precision, intensity, and unapologetic heaviness. Lisle's mastery over tone is borderline obsessive, sculpting sounds that crush and soar with unparalleled brutality. His recording ability is nothing short of surgical—capturing ferocity and intricacy in every note , each riff a devastating masterpiece of tone manipulation. Whether it's creating unyielding walls of sound or weaving through intricate, yet crushing progressions, Allan Lisle’s contributions are a testament to his unparalleled skill in the world of metal guitar.
