Standover play a brand of hardcore that drips with metallic venom, rooted in raw emotion and sharpened through years of collective experience in Aotearoa’s most brutal bands. Formed by members of Forced to Submit, Damaged, Demonstrate, Saving Grace, and Vicissitude, Standover pull together different corners of the country’s heavy scene to create something that’s more than the sum of its parts. Their music is loaded with crushing riffs, bone-rattling breakdowns, and a vocal delivery that drags you through the dirt, not just angry, but purposefully confrontational.
