A considered way to close the year with a prototype 360 presentation of Stasis at the uts_dataarena. This iteration explores audience presence as an active variable. Human movement initiates a gradual reveal, shifting from spoken interview transcripts to data portraits derived from biometric material captured during the filmed interview process. The work tests how proximity, attention, and duration can modulate meaning within an immersive system.

This 31-channel prototype, Stasis 360, is planned to return in 2026 as part of a public program.
Stasis aims to be meaningful examination into the the lived experience of refugee and asylum seeker youth. The work was originally created in collaboration with @starttsnsw@australiaforunhcr@amnestyaustralia with support from @creatensw@creative.australia and @inkcreative_lab

After her father’s disappearance at sea, 12-year-old Soo Ji struggles to adapt to life with her grandmother in a bleak steelwork town. Filmed in Sydney and Wollongong, ‘Bi-Mok’ seamlessly weaves together two different stages of a woman’s life and her difficult relationship with her grandmother.
