After earning her B.A. in Film Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, McCreery began her screenwriting career. She was a Walt Disney/ABC Feature Writing Fellow and has sold feature projects to New Line Cinema, Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Films, Warner Brothers, MGM, Branded Entertainment and Lionsgate. She also writes for television and has sold projects to Disney Channel, NBC, TNT, Televisa USA, Universal Television and more.
McCreery has taught screenwriting and television writing since 2004, first at UCLA, then UC Santa Barbara, and now at
@utexasrtf . She is fueled by being a champion for her students, reminding them that it may not always be easy, but that youāve got this! š¤
