Astronomers Thought the Early Universe Was Full of Hydrogen. Now They’ve Found It thanks to the Hobby-Eberly Telescope at the @mcdonald_observatory and some supercomputing horsepower from @taccutexas . The team hopes their discovery will help others study the early universe: how its structures evolved, the distribution of matter, the movement of objects, and more.

Researchers in the newly launched Program in Memory Longevity (PML) at @utswmedcenter are working to gain insight into some of the most formidable brain conditions people face today – from aging to Alzheimer’s disease. “We want to know what makes a memory long-lasting,” said Dr. Losonczy, Professor of Neuroscience, at UTSW's Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute. “We don’t yet know the mechanisms that allow memories to be stored over a lifetime. But we do know that memories are stored in relatively small groups of brain cells, and that when connections form between those cells, they become stronger.” UTSW has more: https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/ctplus/stories/2026/memory-longevity-losonczy.html
