On Day 3 of the Reverse Trade Mission, delegates visited leading hop farms in the Yakima Valley—gaining firsthand insight into the cultivation practices, innovation, and family legacies that sustain one of the world’s most important hop-producing regions.
@virgil_gamache_farms – Originators of Amarillo®️ hops, they highlighted their commitment to preserving hop quality and distinct characteristics. Delegates also explored their focus on product innovation, including Albert’s Dry Hopped Seltzer, a hop-infused sparkling water.
@perraultfarms – Offered a closer look at their sustainable and organic production, including natural disease management practices that balance productivity with environmental responsibility.
@cls_farms – Known for developing El Dorado®️, they showcased hop harvesting machinery in action and guided delegates through a tasting session that connected agronomy to brewing outcomes.
@lozafarms – Junior Loza shared the inspiring journey of building a Hispanic-owned family farm in Yakima, underlining resilience, growth, and the farm’s contributions to the hop industry.
