You not only explore, for FREE, but learn interesting facts about YOUR beloved H-TOWN! BONUS: You get a ~ 3 MILE HIKE with future friends as well! This was my second walk in Hermann Park. With Tim, a park horticultural pro on board, we learned how Magnolia Tree's leaves, blooms and roots have natural herbicides which prevent other plants from germinating around them. This is ALLELOPATHY! We also learned the city is allocating the restoration and future care of the JAPANESE GARDEN to Hermann Park Conservancy. Their GOAL: RESTORE, and RECREATE, the original theme of a TRUE Japanese Garden! They'll be using appropriate architects to replicate the precise order required, and eliminate the present "Texas version" of one. It should be MAGICAL! Why not JOIN an URBAN PATH'S walk near YOU!
