Honored to have been invited to live paint during Community Day with the @smithsonian in support of the future @uslatinomuseum . Always grateful to be alongside artists, storytellers, and local organizations to celebrate and preserve the stories that shape our communities. I don’t always share the live paintings I create, but there’s something uniquely special about each one. Gestural lines, sketch marks made directly in paint, layers of color mixing due to the lack of dry time.
This piece was completed in roughly four hours. The energy of the crowd always finds its way into the work with these. I really like the textures that came through in this one, thanks for looking! 🌇
