Chattanooga, TN 08.23.24 I was able to attend this show right before bouncing over to JJs. My buddy @radical_sabbatical told me to come check them out and that was all the twisting my arm needed while in Chattanooga to come hang out.
Briteboy is a post hardcore band with luscious shoegaze dreamy soundscapes. The music is a reflection of the beauty and hardships of living and surviving in the south. The pride in finding your way in a world which puts every obstacle in front of you to keep you from getting ahead but despite it all.... you push through.
They have an ep on Spotify which I highly rec and if you dig that then they have a really sweet t shirt for sale too!!

So glad to be asked to do photos for this set! I haven't been out in Tucson most of the summer so I needed a good reason to take my camera out again
Intent brings such a crushing old school thrash metal attack and nothing better than photographing a band with just endless amounts of stage energy and presence
This was a lot of fun and the rest of the bands from this show have photo sets coming too!

First got to see these Brooklyn based rhythm & riffers at Desertfest NYC 2022 where they opened up the day with their rollercoaster weaves of heavy tunes.
Since then they have continued to evolve their sound intertwining a fearless mixture of melodies and pummeling heaviness which they effortlessly layer within their music.

Had a ripping weekend back home in Chattanooga a couple weeks ago and the main reason was Black Tusk was kicking off their tour at the bar/venue I worked at where I first booked Black Tusk for my 22nd birthday (that's 17 years ago for those keeping count)
The Way Forward is the new album they are currently supporting on this tour and it's an absolute bulldozer of a recording. A pull no punches sludge attack which Black Tusk has developed over the decades in the sweltering climate of Savannah, GA. The rock and roll edge they bring is as sharp as ever and really came through in their live set.
