God I love this club. The proud men and woman of Ireland's greatest frisbee team that plays in the Phoenix park took on the hallowed halls of the DCU Sports complex for Open Indoor All Ireland's and what a weekend it was. Beginning with the 2nds holding seed and bringing home 12th place with a couple big wins along the way, with Tom Healy as the MVP and Cian O'Mahony leading the spirit charge.
However it was the 1st team who would go on to write history. After topping their pool on day one and battling their way past the Phoenix parks second best team in the quarters, they faced off against Xvi in the semi finals. Already the clubs greatest result, the purple party would not be denied as they came out winners on universe point to book their place in Uproars first ever Irish final. Glory was not to be however, as the boys were defeated by Gonzaga PPU. This does not diminish the massive achievement that had already been accomplished. Led by an MVP performance from Samuel Maher and some masterful coaching and captaincy from Paul Maher and Cormac Slattery, the purple people left everything out on the court.
Incredible dedication from every single player at every training session all led to the clubs greatest ever result and it's only upwards from here. Massive thank you to @dublingravity for hosting the tournament and for making medals that put the ones I got to shame (Sorry Flame). I've said it before and I'll say it again, Uproar are genuinely and undeniably massive 💪💪💪
