🫧Exhibition opening: 07/11, 19:00 @uppertapper_ 🫧Open until 16/11 ℹ️ Μετά την ολοκλήρωση των οκτώ εργαστηρίων, κατά τα οποία οκτώ καλλιτέχνες μοιράστηκαν ανοιχτά τις διαδικασίες και τα έργα τους, ακολουθεί έκθεση με δημιουργίες των συμμετεχόντων, στο Upper Tapper, την Παρασκευή 07/11, στις 19:00. Η έκθεση λειτουργεί ως ένας πολυεπίπεδος καλλιτεχνικός και αρχειακός χώρος, αναπτύσσοντας τα ίχνη και τις ιδέες που γεννήθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια των εργαστηρίων. Στα δωμάτια όπου πραγματοποιήθηκαν οι συναντήσεις, παρουσιάζονται σχέδια, σημειώσεις και υλικό που προέκυψε από τις εγκαταστάσεις και τις πρακτικές που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν στις οκτώ διαφορετικές παρουσιάσεις. The exhibition functions as a multilayered artistic and archival space within the rooms where the workshops were held. The drawing sessions marked the first phase of our latest project. ✍️ We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participating artists for sharing their creative processes, and to everyone who attended and contributed to making this project possible. 🫶🏼 A special thank you to @uppertapper for hosting these sessions over the past two months. Memory here is not approached as an archive, but as a space: a transforming image, a color that fades, a trace that returns. In a postmodern era where even “remember” has become a digital command, the exhibition invites visitors to wander through rooms —spaces of memory—and reflect: what does it truly mean to remember — and what do we leave in memory of? 🧶25/10 - Meet Ria Alexandrou ℹ️Η Ρια ζει και εργάζεται στη Λεμεσό. Εικαστικός που χρησιμοποιει νήματα, χαλιά και υφάσματα, δημιουργώντας χώρους/τόπους και site-specific εγκαταστάσεις. Η δουλειά της διερευνά την επιμέλεια της φύσης, την απουσία της και τη διαχρονική μας σχέση με αυτήν. Στα drawing sessions, θα φέρει έργα από το Ephemeral Symbiosis, μεταμορφώνοντας τον χώρο σε ένα απαλό τοπίο, όπου οι συμμετέχοντες καλούνται να παρατηρήσουν, να αλληλεπιδράσουν ή απλώς να συνυπάρξουν μέσω της δημιουργίας. 📧Book your spot: [email protected] now! 🖌️ ℹ️Ria lives and works in Limassol. A visual artist working with threads, carpets, and textiles, she creates immersive spaces and site-specific installations. Her practice explores the curation of nature, its absence, and our enduring connection to it. During the drawing sessions, she will bring pieces from Ephemeral Symbiosis, transforming the space into a soft landscape where participants are invited to observe, interact, or simply coexist through the act of making.

⛲️21/10 - Meet Marinos Houtris ℹ️Ο Μαρίνος Χούτρης(he/him) είναι Κύπριος καλλιτέχνης με έδρα τη Λευκωσία. Σπούδασε Καλές Τέχνες στο University of Kent και στο Glasgow School of Art. Το 2020 συνίδρυσε το Ekso, έναν μη κερδοσκοπικό χώρο που ενθαρρύνει τον κριτικό διάλογο μέσα από δημιουργικές πρακτικές. Η καλλιτεχνική του πρακτική περιλαμβάνει τη φωτογραφία, τον ήχο και την εγκατάσταση, και διαμορφώνεται μέσα από πειραματικές και ερευνητικές διαδικασίες. He studied Fine Art at the University of Kent and Glasgow School of Art. In 2020 he co-founded Ekso, a non-commercial project space that promotes critical conversations through creative practices. His practice spans photography, sound, and installation, and it emerges from experimental and investigative processes. His work tracks the elements of infrastructural phenomena, gathers information on labyrinthine networks, urban politics, and delves into the realm of found materials, field recordings, and landscape documentation.

⚡️14/10 - Meet Elena Savvidou ℹ️Η Έλενα Σαββίδου (γεν. 1989, Λεμεσός) είναι μια καλλιτέχνης performance που δουλεύει με τον ήχο‬ και μια μουσικός που ασχολείται με την τέχνη της performance. Τα τελευταία χρόνια‬ αυτοσχεδιάζει σε διάφορους χώρους, χρησιμοποιώντας μια ποικιλία υλικών για να‬ δημιουργήσει«συγκεκριμένες-ως-προς-το-συναίσθημα» performances που προσφέρουν αυτόνομες και‬ μοναδικές ηχητικές εμπειρίες. Στο Drawing Club θα εμβαθύνουμε σε ερωτήματα σχετικά με το πώς η‬ κίνηση και ο ήχος συνδέονται και θα μπορούσαν να λειτουργήσουν ως μεταβάσεις ανάμεσα σε στιγμές,‬ διαμορφώνοντας νέα, προσωρινά περιβάλλοντα. 📧Book your spot: [email protected] now! 🖌️ ‬ ℹ️‭Elena Savvidou is a performance artist working with sound and a musician working with performance art. Over the past few years, she has been improvising in diverse‬ spaces, using a variety of materials to create “feeling-specific” performances that offer‬ ‭ self-contained and singular sonic experiences. At the drawing club we will deepen into‬ questions about how gesture and sound are connected and could serve as transitions between‬ moments, shaping new, temporary environments. 🕰️ 11/10 - Meet Belinda Papavasiliou ℹ️Το this is very specific: we are an event είναι ένα περφόρμανς αλλά και μια σωματική πρακτική εμπλοκής με αντικείμενα, ήχους και χώρους, είναι η εγκατάσταση και απεγκατάσταση του χώρου για να μπορείς να υπάρχεις ανάμεσα. Είναι η δημιουργία μιας κατάστασης ή κάποιου περιβάλλοντος. Η περφόρμερ δημιουργεί εικόνες ρυθμίζοντας το φως, τα αντικείμενα, τους ήχους και την ατμόσφαιρα και μας προσκαλεί σε ένα περιβάλλον όπου όλοι οι ρόλοι μπορούν να ανατραπούν και να γυρίσουν ανάποδα. It is about becoming an event or an environment. In this session the performer/model sets up the images adjusting the lights, objects, sounds and atmosphere and invites us into an environment where all roles can flip and turn upside down. In between a performance, a life drawing session and a performative installation this session is an invitation to draw/document self sarcasm, absurdity as a state, sound waves, time stretching and moving objects.

🎸07/10 - Meet Kalaqs ℹ️Ο Κάλαξ ζει και δημιουργεί στην Κύπρο, με έδρα τη Λεμεσό. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών (Α.Σ.Κ.Τ.) και δραστηριοποιείται κυρίως στον χώρο της μουσικής. Παρουσιάζει έναν ζωντανό μουσικό αυτοσχεδιασμό, όπου ο ήχος και η εικόνα λειτουργούν ως αφορμή και ερέθισμα. Οι συμμετέχοντες καλούνται να μετουσιώσουν συναισθήματα, εντυπώσεις και οπτικά ερεθίσματα σε δικά τους καλλιτεχνικά έργα (— μια βιωματική διαδικασία που ενώνει τη μουσική, την τέχνη και την προσωπική έκφραση). 📧Book your spot: [email protected] now! 🖌️ Kalaqs lives and creates in Cyprus, based in Limassol. He graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts (A.S.F.A.) and works primarily in the field of music. He presents a live musical improvisation, where sound and image serve as a starting point, inviting participants to transform emotions, impressions, and visual stimuli into their own creative works.

🏡04/10 - Meet Maria Lianou ℹ️Η Μαρία Λιανού ζει και εργάζεται στη Λεμεσό. Σπούδασε ζωγραφική και γλυπτική στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας. Είναι συνιδρύτρια του ANBAUatelier -2014. Συν-διοργανώνει το πρότζεκτ Λεμεσός μετά την ανάπτυξη τι; 2015. Στο έργο της, προσδιορίζει συσχετισμούς δυναμικής, που αναδύονται σε συνθήκες συγχρονισμού μεταξύ του μυθοπλαστικού και του τοπίου της καθημερινότητας, αναπτύσσοντας έτσι μια εκτεταμένη μεθοδολογία της εικαστικής γλώσσας, ως βίωμα και εμπειρία στην πρακτική της αρχιτεκτονικής. Μια άσκηση που έρχεται από την πρώτη αρχή. She studied painting and sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She is co-founder of ANBAUatelier -2014. She is co-organizer of the project Limassol, what happens after growth? 2015. In her work, she identifies dynamic associations that emerge in conditions of synchrony between the mythological and the landscape of everyday life, developing an expansive methodology of visual language, as experience and knowledge in the practice of architectures.

👁️30/09 - Meet Marios Pavlou ℹ️Ο Μάριος Παύλου είναι multidisciplinary artist, του οποίου η πρακτική συνδυάζει την περφόρμανς, το βίντεο, τη δημιουργική γραφή, τη ζωγραφική και τη μουσική. Η καλλιτεχνική του γλώσσα προσεγγίζει την πραγματικότητα μέσα από το πρίσμα της μυθοπλασίας, διερευνώντας τις διαδικασίες της επιθυμίας, της ταυτότητας και της σεξουαλικότητας. Η πρόσφατη έρευνά του εστιάζει στην ιστορία των Ταρώ, επανεξετάζοντας το σώμα σε σχέση με τα όνειρα και τη υλικότητα του νερού μέσα στην αφήγηση των καρτών. Η ποίηση συχνά λειτουργεί ως θεμέλιο των έργων και των συνεργασιών του. Their artistic language navigates reality through the lens of fiction, exploring processes of desire, identity, and sexuality. Recent research delves into the history of Tarot decks, re/discovering the body in relation to dreams and the materiality of water within the narrative of the cards. Poetry often serves as the foundation of their projects and collaborations. On 30/09, the workshop will combine exercises in creative writing with image-making, drawing inspiration from poems: some of which will be read, and others co-created together with the participants.
