Rhyzome Open Practice sessions on Wednesdays are invitations to come together and practise autonomously alongside each other using the space of Thkio Ppalies as an open studio. These sessions are central to Rhyzome Choreographic School as here we explore and negotiate what it means to cultivate an environment of working alongside each other and in extension with the world we inhabit!
This first session will be held by Belinda and Eva who will lay out a few ideas and starting points. The session lasts for 2 hours and is followed by a shared discussion with all the participants.
These sessions are anchored to the body and presence, so we ask that you keep the space free of laptops and phones. Sessions are open for other non-participants to witness as an audience, whilst remembering it is by no means a curated performance.
Drawing and writing materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
