This year was filled with so much sadness, fear, grief, loss and uncertainty. Finding joy, happiness, and stability has been tough, but has taught me how resilient we all are. While I can’t wait to get back to the stage and studio, I can’t help but feel proud of the accomplishments and self discoveries that have taken place over this year. I look forward to a year of lifting one another up, celebrating the small wins, and filling ourselves with hope. Happy New Year to all near and far! #happynewyear #keeppushing #staysafe #thepandemicisntoverjustbecauseyoureoverit

My first Mother’s Day 🤍 Every morning, this little boy falls asleep on my chest and the world goes quiet for a moment. It’s become my favorite part of the day — our own tiny bubble that feels so peaceful, special, and sacred. And then there are the walks with our puppy, his little hand wrapped around mine, reminding me how full life can feel in the smallest moments. Motherhood is no joke. It’s exhausting, emotional, challenging, humbling… and somehow more beautiful and meaningful than I ever could have imagined. Life feels very full lately — in the best, most magical way. Today I’m feeling especially grateful for all the moms and women who have mothered me throughout my life, and especially for my own mom, whose love and example shaped so much of who I am. 🤍 Sending love to every mother today — I hope you feel the incredible community of women beside you, carrying each other through the hard, beautiful work of motherhood. And thank you to our sweet puppy for making me a dog mom first, and to my husband for making and raising this tiny little boy with me. What a gift this life is.

Three snapshots of me, finding my way back—one step, one breath, one beat at a time. 🤍 This International Dance Day feels different. I’m learning to move in a body that’s softer, stronger, and entirely new after postpartum life. There’s been a quiet comfort in embracing it as it is, not rushing it back to what it was. Being on stage again feels like coming home… just with a deeper sense of gratitude. Dance has always been for everyone—for every body, every chapter, every version of ourselves. And right now, I feel so lucky to be here, dancing again, exactly as I am. ✨ All Photos by the exceptional @erinbaiano

Two moments I’ll carry with me forever: taking my first bow back on stage just 11 weeks postpartum… and the very first time I held my sweet baby in my arms. Both feel like beginnings in their own way—full of awe, vulnerability, and so much love. I’m endlessly grateful to my friends and family who lifted me up, encouraged me, and believed in me every step of the way back to the stage. Big shout out to @bethjnicely @craigsalstein @marikadancerx @jennifer.garner @presenttensefitness #adriandanchigwaring ❤️ And to the audience—thank you for the warmest, kindest welcome home. I felt every bit of it. I couldn’t be more excited for everything this season has in store ✨ And to my husband and my son—thank you for filling my life with a depth of love and joy I never knew was possible. You are my everything 🤍

And, we’re back! Dancing Agon on opening night of the @nycballet spring season, April 21st. Lots of work ahead and a lot in the rearview—but so excited to be back on stage with one of my favorite ballets of all time, alongside this beautiful partner of mine. 🤍

Almost one year ago I learned I was pregnant with my sweet boy (This photo was taken days after finding out). Today, I step back into the studio as a ballerina. The journey from then to now has been nothing short of miraculous. Grateful for the strength of my body, the resilience of women, my amazing support system, and the love that fuels it all. Excited for the season ahead, knowing that patience with myself will be just as important as the work. Here’s to new beginnings, stronger than ever. 💙✨ #NewChapter #BalletMom #StrongerThanBefore #GratefulHeart

Postpartum is no joke. Pushing my body, finding my strength and believing in myself has been a struggle but I know it will be worth it. I am so lucky to have people championing me, believing in me and supporting me on this journey. It takes a village to raise a baby, but also takes a village to get a ballerina back to the stage.
