@ministry_of_environment_nam in partnership with @undpnamibia and the @gef_global_environment , through #NILALEG Project, launched the Hamweyi, Kanovlei & Zambezi State Forest Reserves, advancing biodiversity, climate resilience & community livelihoods.
Since 2022, @undpnamibia & @ministry_of_environment_nam , with support from @gef_global_environment , have been strengthening Namibia’s K9 Unit through the Human-Wildlife Conflict Project, by enhancing anti-poaching efforts, detection of illegal wildlife products, and law enforcement systems. 🐾 #AntiPoaching
Supported by @gef_global_environment , @ministry_of_environment_nam & @undpnamibia , the establishment of the Ngongozi Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) in Mudumu National Park is strengthening frontline responses to human-wildlife conflict & wildlife crime—reducing incidents, improving patrol coordination, & enhancing community safety.
